Abstract
913,166. Tractor power lift linkage mechanisms. CLAUSING, H., [trading as RABEWERK H. CLAUSING]. Feb. 19, 1959 [Feb. 19, 1958], No. 5820/59. Class 79(1). A linkage for connecting an, implement, e.g. a plough, to an agricultural tractor three point power lift mechanism having an upper link and two horizontally spaced lower links comprises a coupling link carrying the implement pivotally connected between the upper and lower links of the three point linkage mechanism by an upper pivot point associated with the upper link and by an intermediate link between the pivot point associated with the lower links and a lower pivot point of the coupling, link, the intermediate link being connected to the tractor or the lower links by a member which prevents movement of the coupling link under the effect of earth resistance to movement of the implement, about the pivot point associated with the lower links but allows movement of the coupling link about an axis lying above and/or behind the pivot point associated with the lower links. As shown in Fig. 2, the implement 6 is pivoted to a bracket 24 mounted on a coupling link 4 pivoted at 23 to links 21 and 22 pivoted to each of the bottom links 3 and at 8 to the upper link 2. The links 22 may be coupled to the pivot points 10 or may be pivoted to the tractor frame. As shown in Fig. 4, a plough beam 6 is pivoted to a bracket 24 attached to a link 4 pivoted to a rod 27 articulated at 9 to the lower links 3. At its upper end, the rod 27 is connected to a chain linked to the tractor at 25 and an adjustable stop 29 disposed on the rod 27 limits the movement between a nose 30 on the coupling link and the rod 27. As shown in Fig. 6, the plough beam. 6 is connected to a pivoted link structure 34, 35, 36 and 37 connected to the tractor upper and lower links. Several other embodiments are described and in Fig. 17, a double-armed lever 47, 48 is pivoted to the arm 52 of the angle lever 21, 22, the arm 47 being connected to the link 22 and the arm 48 to a rod 50.
