Abstract
844,925. Power-lift linkages. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN Ltd. Nov. 16, 1956 [Jan. 27, 1956], No. 2750/56. Class 79(1). A three point implement attaching powerlift linkage for a tractor comprises an upper link 1 which may be telescopic, Figs. 1, 3, and a pair of lower links (Figs. 4, 5 not shown), each being reversible and having at one end a swivelling bush of dimensions suitable for the connection of a small (category one) implement, and at the other end a swivelling bush suitable for the connection of larger (category two) implements. The link 1 may be pivoted by either of pins 12, 17. between lugs 10, 11 on the tractor, the pin 12 being passed through the bush 4 and the lugs when' a small implement is. to be attached to the bush 8, and the pin 17 being used when a large implement is to be attached to the bush 4. The pin 12 has its major length of a large diameter to fit within the bush 4 and the'lug 11 on the tractor, the smaller diameter portion 15 of the pin 12 fitting within the lug 10. A cotter pin 13 through a hole 16 secures the pin 12 in position. The pin 17 has a minor portion 21 of large diameter, and a major portion 18 of small diameter, and may be fitted so that the portion 21 passes through the lug 11, and the portion 18 passes through the bush 8 and the lug 10 and is held by a cotter pin 19. The lower links which are also reversible have their bushes fitting over hitch pins on the tractor, sleeves being necessary between the hitch pins and the bushes only when the larger bushes of the links are fitted thereon. The lower links are cotter pinned in position as before and are provided with holes for the attachment of lift links. In a modification the pin 12 may be the same as the pin 17 and may be used in conjunction with a spacer sleeve to take up diametrical clearance between the pin and the bore 5 of the larger bushing 4.
