Abstract
659,422. Agricultural implements. ALLINSON, T. C. Feb. 2, 1949, No. 2826 [Class 6(i)] A mounting for a tool-bar 16 carried in front of an agricultural tractor comprises spaced members 2 forming a framework mounted on the front of the tractor, two forwardly - extending, tool - bar - carrying arms 4 being pivoted on the framework and being connected to toggle-links 6, 10<SP>1 </SP>incorporating a lost-motion connection 6'. One of the links is formed as a bell-crank with one arm 10<SP>2</SP> connected by a link 11 to a hand-lever 12 operable by the tractor driver, the link-arrangement being such that in the raised position the toggle-links 6, 10<SP>1</SP>, are inclined to one another, but in the lowered position the links are substantially aligned so that the tool-bar-carrying arms may only swing upwardly to the ex-, tent permitted by the lost-motion connection. The members 2, 4, 6, and 10<SP>1</SP> are duplicated on the opposite side of the tractor. The ends of the tool-bar carry depthregulating wheels 17.
