Abstract

737,114. Agricultural implements. SHIPSIDE, Ltd., T. Nov. 18, 1953 [Jan. 21, 1953], No. 1705/53. Class 6 (1). In a tractor provided with hydraulic lift linkage 17, 18 adapted to carry a plough or other implement, a supporting member 27 is positioned to receive the weight of the implement when the linkage is in the lowered position. As shown the member 27 is pivoted at 26 and is provided with a pad 30 which abuts on a pivot pad 31 on the near-side lower link 17 of the linkage. The position of the member 27 is adjustable by means of a hand-wheel 53 and if necessary by a hydraulic cylinder 38 operated by a lever 40. The member 27 may move against a spring 55 when the plough or other implement travels over rough ground. The weight of the plough is transferred by the member 27 to the tractor rear wheels and improves adhesion of the rear wheels.
