[Class 6 (i)] In an arrangement for the depth regulation of ground-working implements carried adjustably on a tractor, the working tools being capable of yielding backwards against the action of a spring arrangement while operating on a hydraulic level control device, a frame carrying the tools is provided with means adapted in one and the same position of the level control device to relieve the tools from a part of the spring action increasing with their working depth. The carrier comprises a pair of arms 6 upon which is mounted the tool frame 2. The arms are raised by a hydraulic level control device, through link 7 and lever 8, operated by rod 17 against the pressure of a spring 23 adapted to counteract the yield of the tool with a constant force. A spring 28 mounted on a skid 26 opposes the spring 23 with a force varying with the depth of the tool. If the rearward thrust on the tool increases, it will yield against spring 23 and operate the control device through rod 17 to lift the arms 6. This will decrease the effective force of spring 28 so that balance is attained and the lifting movement ceases with a small variation in the position of the tool. In a modification, the skid may be mounted on a two-armed lever pivoted at the front of the frame 2 and having one arm co-operating with a sleeve mounted on lever 22, preferably in two parts. For adjusting the pressure of the skid against the ground, a handle is provided for varying the angle between the two arms of the lever. The skid may be replaced by a ground wheel.
