Abstract

166,496. Saunderson, H. P. Sept. 23, 1919. Ploughs.-A multiple-furrow plough of the type described in Specification 166,262 in which a draw-bar l is pivoted at m to a frame a supported on forward furrow and land wheels d, f and a rear wheel e, has its furrow and rear wheels d, e mounted on vertical shafts g, h so connected to the draw-bar and between themselves that movement of the draw-bar in steering the implement causes corresponding swinging of these two wheels. The draw-bar l is connected to an arm s on the vertical shaft of the furrowwheel by a link q, universal joints being provided at each end of this link to permit vertical movement of the shaft g during the lifting and lowering of the frame. A second arm n on the shaft g is connected to an arm o on the shaft h of the rear wheel by a link p, the arms n and o being arranged on opposite sides of their respective shafts so that the wheels d, e are swung in different directions. Holes t in the arm o permit adjustment of the relative swinging movements of the two wheels.
