769,318. Invertible ploughs. BONNEL, H. A. March .9, 1954 [March 10, 1953], No. 6912/54. Class 6(1). Relates to tractor-drawn invertible ploughs of the kind wherein the tools 9a are carried by a longitudinal beam 7 forming part of a chassis which is mounted on power-operated lift-links 1 at its front end and is vertically adjustable upon a rear-carriage 13, 14, at its rear end. According to the invention, a cable 3 is connected between a fixed part 5 on the tractor and a part 16 on the rear-carriage which is in fixed relation to the ground, and this chain passes over idle pulleys 4a, 4b, on the chassis so that the chassis is moved bodily, while remaining horizontal, upon vertical movement of the lift links. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) automatic side-swing of the implement upon raising is effected by a second cable connected between the fixed point on the tractor and a lever which rocks the tools, the cable. being passed around further pulleys on the chassis. The point 16 is vertically adjustable by a handoperated screw 15.
