Abstract

984,775. Aircraft undercarriages. SOC. HISPANO-SUIZA-LALLEMANT. Feb. 6, 1962 [Aug. 8, 1961], No. 4547/62. Headings B7G and B7W. An aircraft undercarriage comprises a shock absorber 2 pivoted at A to the wheel (or pair of wheels) support 5 and at B to a connecting member 4 pivoted at C to the airframe, the pivots A, B and C being in substantially vertical alignment when the undercarriage is down, as in Fig. 1, and a fluid retraction jack 8 pivoted at H to the airframe and at I to member 4, a link 7 extending between a pivot G on member 4 and a pivot F on a rod 6 having one end pivoted to the airframe at E and the other end pivoted to the wheel support 5 at D. A down lock and a pilot's " undercarriage down " indicator are provided.
