Abstract

977,279. Tent pegs. A. R. H. CAWOOD. June 17, 1963 [June 29, 1962], No. 23985/63. Heading E1B. A tent peg formed with a ground engaging shank part and, at an angle of 45 degrees to this, with a hook-shaped arm 7, is formed of spring steel so that the arm resiliently absorbs fluctuations in the applied load. In embodiments the peg is formed with helical coils at its apex. The axis of the coils being either in line with or transverse to the length of the arm 7. The steel rod or wire from which the peg is made is of circular, square, triangular, oval, or of flat section.
