1,034,231. Mattress edge support. F. C. KLINE. Feb. 14, 1964, No. 6324/64. Heading A4M. A mattress edge support or stabilizer 1 is composed of a single wire formed into an eight shape having an upper elliptical portion 2 and a lower elliptical portion 3 with the ends knotted to the adjacent wire at 4, 5 and the intermediate portions 10, 11 of the wire being twisted one around the other. The support is secured to the border wires 15, 18 by spiral wires 16, 19. The ends of the wire may be twisted together or welded instead of being knotted and in a modification the eight shape is composed of two S-shaped wires having their ends connected. The cross-section of the wire may be circular, elliptical, rectangular or diamond shape.
