Abstract

965,356. Mattresses. SIMMONS CO. Dec. 19, 1962 [Oct. 22, 1962], No. 47982/62. Heading A4M. A mattress edge stabilizer or reinforcing spring 10 is formed from a length of wire bent to have a midportion 12 serving as a torsion spring element and transverse arms 14 which are attached to the border wire of the mattress by means of portion 16 two such springs 10 having their mid-portions connected by an enclosing sleeve 26. In another form Fig. 4 arms 14 diverge and portion 12 may be bent back on itself as at 12<SP>1</SP>. (For Figure 4 see next page)
