A metallic grid which may be used as a supporting frame structure for roofs or enclosures comprises spaced longitudinal wires or rods 1,2,3 and spaced transverse wires or rods 4 welded together at their crossing points. The transverse rods 4 are bent at an angle greater than 90 degrees between the end longitudinal rod 1 and one further in, such as 2, so that these rods lie in a plane perpendicular to the grid and a loop is formed by the bent transverse rods of adjacent grids through which a connecting bar 5 can be passed. The edge longitudinal wires or rods 1 and 2 may be of larger diameter than others and either closer together or further apart, and the transverse wires or rods 4 may be double.
