Abstract
975,482. Aerials. H. KOLBE, and H. KOEHLER, [trading as FUBA, ANTENNENWERKE HANS KOLBE & CO]. Feb. 15, 1963 [March 23, 1962], No. 6163/63. Heading H4A. An aerial system tuned to two different frequency bands comprises a main Yagi array consisting of dipole 3, directors 2 and reflector 7 and a subsidiary array consisting of dipole 4, additional directors 9, 10 which are not disposed in the same plane as the directors 2, and reflector 8. The folded dipoles 3, 4 are interconnected by a phasing link 13. In one arrangement (Fig. 2, not shown), the additional directors are positioned in a cylindrical parabolic plane and act as the reflector for the first dipole. In a further arrangement (Fig. 3, not shown), the additional directors are mounted on separate supports and displaced with respect to one another. In each arrangement the supports for the additional directors are pivotally mounted on the main support 1 so as to be collapsible for easy transport and in the arrangement described in conjunction with Fig. 2 (not shown), to vary the angle of the reflector.
