Abstract

974,363. Cartons for liquids. JAGENBERGWERKE A.G. Jan. 30, 1962 [Oct. 18, 1961], No. 3437/62. Heading B8P. A carton for liquids comprises a tubular body closed at at least one end by an inverted V- shaped bellows-fold closure adapted to be partially opened (Fig. 4) in order that a cover 4 may be torn away to expose an aperture 1 (Fig. 6). The aperture 1 is sealed on the inside of the carton by foil blank 3 (Fig. 3) cut along lines 5 to produce a flap 6 which is adhered to the cover 4. In the closed position the cover 4 extends below the lower edge of the aperture 1 and is adhered to side wall 7. The carton is made of a synthetic material capable of being sealed under the action of pressure and heat.
