971,640. Rotary sliding-vane pumps and motors. H. TEVES, E. A. TEVES, and M. TAUSEND, [trading as ALFRED TEVES MASCHINEN-UND ARMATURENFABRIK KOMM.-GES.]. March 21, 1961 [June 13, 1960], No. 10260/61. Heading F1F. A rotary sliding-vane pump or motor comprising outwardly-sliding vanes 3 engaging the inner face 2 of a cam-plate 1, includes a rotor 4 having a polygonal bore fitting a correspondingly shaped rotor shaft 10 and radial bores 5 of substantially larger diameter than the thickness of the vanes opening on to the faces 9 of the polygon. The bores 5 which house correspondingly large diameter springs 8 communicate with the pumping chambers so that both spring pressure and fluid pressure urge the vanes outwardly. The bores 5 are closed by slotted plugs 6 through which the vanes are slidingly guided.
