Abstract

971,511. Securing carpets to floors. ROBERTS CONSOLIDATED INDUSTRIES Inc. Jan. 31, 1962 [Aug. 11, 1961], No. 3624/62. Heading A4S. A carpet-securing strip 10 has an upwardly curving base 11 which is flat on installation, nail holes 18 which are filled with mastic 19 to support the nails 29 before hammering, a flange 31 which is bent over the carpet and a p.v.c. "appearance" strip 33 which hooks over the flange 31 enables short pieces of the strip 10 to be used. Specification 971,512 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 834,046.
