Abstract

969,260. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. CONTINENTAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Feb. 13, 1962 [Feb.20, 1961], No. 5565/62. Heading G3P. A manifold pressure regulator for an internal combustion engine having an air induction means with a throttle valve 11 comprises means 27 for actuating the throttle valve and means 29 for subjecting the means 27 to manifold pressure proportionally as manifold pressure varies. The means 29 consists of a valve actuated by a bellows 35 in response to changes in manifold pressure to adjust the pressure in a chamber 26A having a connection to atmosphere through passages 31, 32. A screwthreaded mounting 36 for the bellows permits the controlled pressure to be altered. The actuating means 27 is coupled to the valve 11 by a ball crank 16, a link 17 and a lever 18.
