Abstract

1,034,731. Crankcase ventilation. JOHNSON PRODUCTS INCORPORATED. Jan. 9, 1963 [Jan. 22, 1962; May 10, 1962], No. 1014/63. Heading F1B. A valve 68, Fig. 2, controlling the flow of crankcase gases from a sealed crankcase to an intake manifold is actuated by means 32 responsive solely to crankcase pressure and ambient pressure. In Fig. 2, the diaphragm 32 actuating valve 68, is subjected on one side 40 to crankcase pressure transmitted through passage 43 and on the other side to atmospheric pressure through orifices 60, 62. The crankcase filler tube is sealed by a cap 24 with sealing ring.
