An injection moulding machine comprises an injection nozzle 14 which is displaceable in a housing 18 to bring the head 26 of the nozzle into engagement with the opening in the mould 9 and to bring passages 17a in the nozzle into line with co-operating passages 19 in the injection unit. The nozzle is advanced by the pressure of the plastic and is retracted by hand or pressure operated levers 20 pivoted at 22 and engaging the nozzle head 26.
