Abstract

1,043,055. Injection moulding machines. CONSTRUCTIE WERKHUIZEN VAN OORDENGEM. June 26, 1964 [June 27. 1963], No. 26658/64. Heading B5A. When the injection head 2 is withdrawn, a spring 20 moves a rotatable member 11 to a cut-off position, thereby preventing escape of moulding material from the mould 1 and releasing the head 2 for further injections. The member 11 is part-cylindrical and rotates within limits determined by a bolt 14, in a member 6 attached to part 3 of the machine frame. Fig. 1 shows the member 11 in the position it occupies when a conical cavity 12 therein is engaged by the head 2.
