In an injection moulding machine wherein a mould part M2 is moved towards a mould part M1 and both are then moved towards an injection unit A, movement of the mould is interrupted and return movement produced when a switch 2 is actuated by a rod T2, unless a switch 1 has already been closed by a rod T1. Injection is thereby prevented if the mould is not completely closed. Operation of switch 2 may change an hydraulic cylinder closing the mould from low to high pressure operation.
