Abstract

870,109. Injection-moulding machines. GRUNDIG, M., [trading as GRUNDIG ELEKTRO-MECHANISCHE VERSUCHSANSTALT]. Feb. 9, 1960 [March 18, 1959], No. 4537/60. Class 87(2). In an injection moulding machine of the reciprocable screw type a locking ring 11 is provided to block the back flow of material by contacting a conical surface 6 on the screw 2, access to the space within said ring being provided by removal of a ring part 7 on a cylindrical or conical shaped part 5 on the forward end of the screw. The ring part 7 is locked in position by a pin 8. The locking ring 11 has recesses 13 and is axially movable between tapered faces 10, 6 on the part 7 and the screw respectively.
