Abstract

1,006,373. Injection moulding. HONDA GIKEN KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Aug. 3, 1962 [Aug. 7, 1961], No. 30061/62. Heading B5A. An injection mould has an ejector pin 21 with a cylindrical end 22 and grooves 27 adjacent this end, means for moving the pin to eject a moulded article and for returning the pin, and means for supplying compressed-air to the grooves, when the pin is extended to force the article from the pin. The mould consists of a fixed part 2 and a movable part 3. The pin is slidably mounted in the movable part 3 and is attached to an ejector plate 19 which is operated by a rod 20. Around the pin is a recess 28a which is fed with compressed-air through a passageway 28 by a valve 30 which is manually or automatically controlled.
