[Also in Group XXII] In a plastic moulding or metal die casting machine, a low pressure hydraulic ram f transfers material c from a shallow chamber b through a central duct e to a mould d, and a high pressure hydraulic ram g is used to complete the filling of the mould. The mould shown is for making an annular rubber disc, the central hole in the disc being formed by the ram g and further holes by cores m. Metal side cheeks n may be incorporated in the rubber disc. A spew hole h for excess material may be provided in the ram g.
