A roof light comprises a translucent plastic corrugated sheet 13 e.g. of fibre-reinforced polyester plastic, with a marginal flat portion 15 on all four sides by which the light rests upon and is connected to adjacent roofing sheets 1, e.g. light-weight concrete sheets and a sealing layer 16, e.g. of asphalt-coated roofing paper covering the roof externally extends over the flat-edge portions 15 to seal the gap between said portions 15 and roofing sheets 8. As shown, the light comprises, a flat translucent sheet 14 disposed on the underside of sheet 13, the sheets 13, 14 being secured together along the flat marginal portions 15, 8. In the case of a single sheet a channel of the same plastic is arranged at the lower end of the light.
