724,646. Roofs; sheet roofing. TAYLOR, E. E. Oct. 27, 1953, No. 29622/53. Classes 20 (4) and 87 (1). A roof construction especially for flat-roof or substantially flat-roof buildings comprises rafters 8 and a roofing sheet 5, of any suitable dimensions or materials, having channels 6 which fit over the rafters so that the undersurface of the sheet is co-planar with the undersurfaces of the rafters and forms with them a suitable ceiling surface. The under-surfaces of the rafters may be left uncovered or if the portions 7 are provided with transverse reinforcing corrugations the ceiling is finished by applying a composite ceiling material consisting of a layer of corrugated paper sandwiched between two layers of thick paper. The sheets 5 are fastened on to the rafters 8 preferably by bolts or rivets passing through holes 10 and 12.
