Abstract

1,206,135. Roof covering. BRAAS & CO. G.m.b.H. 22 Sept., 1967 [22 Sept., 1966], No. 43211/67. Heading E1W. A roof-covering assembly comprises waterimpervious sheets 3 of a synthetic plastics material secured to to roof 1 without adhesive to extend from. the ridge 4 to the eaves 5; capping strips 14 overlying and interconnecting the adjoining longitudinal edges 7, 9 of the sheets 3 and caps 18 which also may be of synthetic plastics material overlapping the sheet edges at the ridge. Each sheet 3 has tongues 13 projecting from one long edge, slots 12 therein receiving e.g. rails 11, to secure the sheets 3 to the roof 1, the tongues 13 in one sheet 13 being covered by the next. The long edges 7, 9 are bent up to form channels, adjacent webs formed by the 'bent up edges being spaced apart. Caps 18 hold down the sheets 3 at the ridge 4 and each has a lug 19 on the lower surface to receive a spring 20 with one end engaged onto a hook 22 Fig. 2 (not shown) attached to the roof 1. The ridge cap is formed in sections, each having at one end a set of outwardly directed ribs or teeth 18a which interengage with a set of inwardly directed ribs or teeth 18,b at the relatively opposite end of an adjacent section.
