Abstract

1330711 Roofing tiles TENAPLAS Ltd 1 Jan 1971 [9 Jan 1970] 1231/70 Heading E1B Roofing tiles having interlocking channels between courses are laid on a roof starting with the lowermost tile A having a channel 3 at its lower edge engaged over a anchorage strip 7 and a lip 6 at the upper edge over a batten D. The tiles may be nailed to the batten through portion 1a. The tiles are curved between the upper and lower edges so that the lower portions of the front faces of the tiles are all in the same plane. A ridge capping 10 has a barbed projection 10a engaging in an undercut groove 9a in an anchoring member 9 nailed to roof battens. A V-section member for anchoring tiles at a roof valley is also described. The members may all be extruded from synthetic plastics and foam plastics insulation may be provided.
