Abstract

The invention relates to a ridge beam infill piece of the one-piece type comprising, on both sides of a central boom, two sealing flaps one of which is immobile whilst the other may slide longitudinally relative to all or part of the central boom. It is characterised in that the upper end of the immobile part of the infill piece consists of two longitudinal walls 6'-6'' forming a female slider 5 and capable of clamping the male end of the mobile flap 3. Its method of manufacture is characterised by, firstly, the extrusion of the immobile infill piece member equipped at its upper end with a casing 6, then, secondly, by the splitting of one of the vertical walls of the said casing, in order to create a longitudinal female slider 5.

Description

 The main application describes an adjustable shutter of the monobloc type for the waterproof covering of the ridge of a roof, consisting of a frame intended to be fixed on the ridge purlin of roofs in tiles or the like and two lateral sealing flaps facing towards the covering elements and by marrying their profile by practical recesses on their edges opposite the ridge, the said closure having as main characteristic that one of the sealing flaps is fixed while the other is capable of sliding, once the shutter arranged on the roof, longitudinally with respect to all or part of the central member which can be fixed or fixed to the purlin.

 The purpose of this addition is to complete the connection between the fixed and mobile parts of the adjustable ridge closure so that the mobile flap can slide longitudinally without risk of accidental dislocation.

 Another object of the addition is to describe the process for obtaining, by extrusion, a cilem, -o-plascic material of an adjustable closure provided with a longitudinal slide, a solution which has proved to be expensive and difficult to carry out in the case of the shutter described in the main request.

To this end, the subject of the invention is an adjustable ridge closure of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the upper end of the fixed part of the closure consists of two longitudinal walls constituting a female slide capable of enclosing the upper end mile from the moving part of the shutter. The latter is in turn equipped with at least one bead or a longitudinal plate forming a projection relative to the thick
of the wall and allowing good fixing of the fixed and mobile parts of the shutter by simple snap-fastening while nevertheless allowing the
subsequent longitudinal adjustment of the movable flap by sliding.

The outer edges (opening side) of the female slide can be
provided with longitudinal grooves or beads to prevent any
accidental dislocation of the two parts of the shutter. However, and for more
safety, it is advisable to provide the internal, upper and / or
lower, female gl ssiere at least a groove, a dish or a
longitudinal bead so as to constitute one or more complementary points
snap-in elements for the mobile part.

The invention also relates to the process for obtaining, by extrusion of a thermo-plastic material, PVC in particular, an adjustable shutter as previously described, characterized in that firstly the profile is extruded of fixed shutter fitted at its upper end with a
longitudinal box, possibly internally partitioned or provided with internal longitudinal lugs. Then in a second step, one of the walls of the box is sectioned over its entire length and possibly the internal partitions so as to create a longitudinal female slide.

 Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will be better understood on reading the description which will follow of a nonlimiting example of embodiment and with reference to the single appended figure showing a perspective view of a fraction of a clasp. adjustable.

 The shutter shown in Figure I includes a central frame (1) and two lateral sealing flaps (2-3) in the shape of a V owert, turned towards the covering elements, resting on their edges (side opposite to the ridge purlin) on the upper faces of these and matching their profile without requiring a subsequent conformation thanks to a certain number of recesses (4-4 ') corresponding to the relief of the covering materials.

 At one end of the central member (I) and over the entire length of the latter, we have a female slide (5) formed by a box (6) of which a wall is split over its entire length. Thanks to this arrangement, the upper end of the folded part of the shutter is made up of two substantially parallel walls (6′-6 ") so as to constitute a longitudinal female slide (5) capable of enclosing the male upper end of the movable part (3) of the shutter.

 In order to ensure good connection between the fixed and mobile parts of the shutter and to nevertheless allow easy sliding, it is recommended that the height of the longitudinal slot of the female slide (5) is slightly less than the wall thickness of the mobile part.

 However, it can be seen in FIG. 1 that a certain number of devices have been used both on the fixed and mobile parts of the shutter and in order to avoid any accidental dislocation of the constituent parts.

 This is how the female slide (5) is provided on its internal faces with longitudinal beads (7-7 ') facing each other and ensuring a first retention of the upper end of the movable part (3) of the shutter .

 It is thus also that said movable part (3) is equipped with a longitudinal bead (8) forming a projection relative to the thickness of the wall and allowing the snap-fastening on the beads (7-7 ') as well as '' possibly on the upper and lower edges (opening side) of the slide.

 Finally, this is how the distance provided between the walls (6'-6 ") of the female slide (5) is slightly greater than the wall thickness of the movable part (3) of the shutter so that these two walls ( 6'-6 ") can accommodate without deform.at ~ on or excessive gene outgrowth of the longitudinal bead (8).

 To make a shutter as described above and to avoid any risk of deformation at the level of the female slide (5) (accidental sticking of the walls still hot) it is advisable to proceed in two stages - extrusion of the fixed shutter profile fitted at its upper end of a longitudinal box (6) and provided with two longitudinal internal beads (7-7 ') of snap-fitting facing each other.

As is obvious, and as is moreover apparent from the foregoing, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment indicated above, on the contrary it embraces all the variant embodiments thereof, in particular as to reverse the location -of the female slide and of the male end, that is to say of equipping the mobile part of the shutter with the female slide, and the fixed part of the shutter with the corresponding male end.
