Abstract

983,080. Roof edge trimming strip. JAMES BOOTH ALUMINIUM Ltd. Oct. 17, 1963 [Oct. 31, 1962], No. 41133/62. Heading E1V. A roof-edge trimming strip comprises a portion 18 connected to the upper edge of the portion 11 which in use is parallel to the building wall, by a thin section which defines a fold line about which the portion 18 can be folded down so as to retain roofing material 16 received on the portion 15 of the strip which lies parallel to the roof surface. The thin section is formed by a groove 20. The part 18 may be initially co-planar with the part 11, Fig. 1 (not shown) or may be at an angle as in Fig. 5. A pointed flange 21 provided along the extremity of the part 18 bites into the roofing material and ribs 17, 19 facilitate the retention of roofing material thereon. The roofing material may be either felt or asphalt.
