Abstract

1,259,500. Roof lights. H. H. ROBERTSON CO. 26 June, 1970 [29 March, 1969], No. 16586/69. Heading E1R. A moulded glass-fibre-reinforced translucent plastics roof light comprises a rectangular outer sheet 10 with arcuate transverse ridges 11 and troughs 12 and an undersheet 20 bonded thereto, to form an insulating space therebetween the sides being formed with flanges 14 profiled as at 15, 16, 17 so as to provide for over or under lapped engagement with longitudinally profiled roofing sheets, the upper end being configurated as at 37, 38 for underlapped engagement with the ridge flashing of a roof D and the lower end being configurated e.g. corrugated (Fig. 4) for overlapped engagement with a longitudinally profiled roofing sheet 59 (e.g. corrugated). The ridges and troughs 11, 12 merge into the bottom of the troughs 14. The undersheet 20 conforms with the transversely curved shape of the outer sheet 10 and has planar sides 22 bonded to the undersides of the troughs 14. The roof light may be in intermediate and top and bottom parts A, B, C respectively as indicated in Fig. 1.
