Abstract

964,156. Powder distributers. W. HARGREAVES & CO. Ltd. June 17, 1963 [June 20, 1962], No. 23665/62. Heading A1D. A distributer for powdered or granular material comprises a hopper 17 which feeds material to two resilient rollers 11, 14 one of which is movable to adjust the pressure at the nip formed between the two rollers. As shown the roller 14 is mounted in a U-shaped frame which is adjustably positioned by means of a screw 15 and nuts 16. The rollers are made of a foamed material such as foamed rubber and may be made up of a plurality of washer-like units.
