A distributer of the kind comprising a roller 16, which forms the floor of a hopper 10 is characterized in that a flexible plate 18 is secured to the hopper so as to confine the arch of the roller forming the base of the hopper to a rearward portion of such roller. The plate 18 is adjustable to alter the effective distance between it and the roller. The roller is provided with a rubber band 17 having a plurality of longitudinal surface ribs and grooves.
