993,016. Fertilizer distributers. PATENT CONCERN N.V. July 10, 1961 [July 27, 1960], No. 3030/65. Divided out of 993,014. Heading A1D. An implement for spreading material over the ground comprises a hopper 2 having a base 16 which is inclined to the vertical and is formed with outlet ports 81 through which material is fed to a spreading member 42 mounted on a shaft 30 extending perpendicular to the base, the shaft 30 also being provided with a screwshaped feed member 62 and an agitator 66. The feed member comprises a helical spring which is arranged round a conical portion of the base. The effective size of the outlet ports is adjusted by means of a control member 44 which is adjusted by means of an arm 77 which is held in position by a clamp 80. The shaft 80 is driven from a tractor power shaft and the implement is connected to the tractor lift linkage. Specifications 993,012 and 993,015 also are referred to.
