Abstract

990,177. Grit distributers. ATKINSONS AGRICULTURAL APPLIANCES Ltd. Sept. 19, 1962 [Oct. 3, 1961], No. 35688/61. Heading A1D. To enable material to be spread symmetrically or asymmetrically of a vehicle a feed trough 13 is provided to feed material to a spreader disc 17 and the outlet 16b thereof is arranged eccentrically to the axis of rotation of the disc and is arranged to be adjustable relative to the said axis. As shown, the vehicle body 10 is provided with a conveyer belt 11 which feeds material to a transverse feed channel 12 which is downwardly inclined towards the trough 13 and is vibrated by a rotatable cam. The floor of the body 10 may be stationary and the material may be moved towards the front by a hydraulically operated pusher or by drag chains or by an auger. The trough and disc are situated at the front and to one side of the vehicle body.
