Abstract

The machine is for spreading granular material, the material being lifted into a hopper (8) on the mobile machine, and delivered by a conveyor to tubes which transfer the material to the sloping spreaders (9). Bands carry the material to nozzles which deliver it on to rotating spreader discs. The position of the nozzles relative to the discs is fixed and maintained to ensure a constant spreading pattern. The rate of operation of the system including rotation of the discs, is related to the forward movement of the vehicles giving uniform distribution. Liquid spraying can be superimposed on the spreading.
