A distributer of granulated or powdered material comprises a feed mechanism 6 rotatable in a housing 2 and feeding material from a hopper 1 to distributing tubes 4 the mechanism 6 comprising fluted members 8<SP>1</SP> which are fixed to a shaft 7 and two annular members 9<SP>1</SP> through which the shaft 7 extends and which are fixed to the housing 2. The members 8<SP>1</SP> could be replaced by a single element and for distributing small quantities of material shorter members could be used with an annular member between.
