963,741. End protecting caps for rods &c. ABERG A.B. Oct. 7, 1960 [Oct. 15, 1959], No. 34411/60. Heading B8C. A protecting cap for the ends of rods, tubes &c. comprises a sleeve 1 one end 2 of which has a rounded contour and is at least partially closed the sleeve having spaced elastic fins 3 extending radially inwards towards the axis so as to yield in a circumferential direction to fit on rods &c. of varying diameters. The fins taper at 4 towards the open end of the cap, and may extend over a part only of the length of the sleeve as shown at 3<SP>1</SP>.
