Abstract

855,434. Tube joints ; tube stoppers. F. T. PRODUCTS Ltd. April 27, 1959 [April 30, 1958], No. 13800/58. Class 99(1). [Also in Group XXV] A wing screw 16 formed with a recess 17 is screwed into a tube 18 having an aperture 19 into the wall thereof, the travel of the. screw within the tube being limited by a stop 10 comprising a single strip of spring material the body portion of which is bowed to partly encircle the tube and one end of which is directed approximately radially of the bowed portion and is formed as a wedge which protrudes through the aperture 19 into the recess 17. The wedge is formed as at 12 of a reduced portion of the spring material which has a spade-like head in the shape of a minor segment of a circle, the angled ends 14, 15 of the segment being bent inwardly so as to lie approximately parallel to each other.
