Class 20(1) An adjustable curtain rod comprises a tube A having end pieces B, B<SP>1</SP> provided with resilient pads b<SP>6</SP>, the end piece B having secured thereto a bolt b<SP>1</SP> which co-operates with a nut a in the tube A. In a modification the head of the bolt b<SP>1</SP> has a head which engages slots in the end piece instead of being a force fit therein.
