Pharmaceutical compositions utilizable for the treatment of hepatic or nephitic colic contain a compound of the general formula <FORM:0961838/A5-A6/1> (wherein R represents an alkyl radical) and a pharmaceutical carrier, and are in dosage unit form (e.g. cachets, capsules, tablets or suppositories), preferably also containing glucose, or in the form of a definite volume of a liquid made up in discrete units, for instance as an injectable aqueous solution also containing an alkali (e.g. sodium hydroxide or an ethanolamine). Specification 872,196 is referred to.
