Abstract
An aqueous pharmaceutical preparation for parenteral administration comprises reserpine and ascorbic acid with the optional addition of sodium ascorbate. The proportions by weight of reserpine are 0.01 to 1 per cent; of ascorbic acid 5 to 20 and preferably 10, per cent; and of sodium ascorbate 1 to 2 per cent. For a single dose the quantity of reserpine is 0.1 to 10 mgs.; ascorbic acid 50 to 200, and preferably 100 mgs.; and sodium ascorbate is 10 to 20 mgs. Specification 737,310 is referred to.
