Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1007014/C2/1> wherein R is a furyl or tetrahydrofuryl radical, and their preparation by the action of an amine R.CH2.NH2, e.g. furfurylamine or tetrahydrofurfurylamine, on a 3-sulphamoyl-4-halobenzoyl halide, e.g. 3-sulphamoyl-4-chlorobenzoyl chloride. Pharmaceutical preparations having diuretic activity and preferably for oral administration comprise the above compounds in admixture with a carrier.
