961,308. Carton. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 4, 1960 [Nov. 7, 1959], No. 37986/60. Heading B8P. In a carton holding a number of stacked flat objects 11, 12, the spaces between one or more vertical walls of the carton and the objects are filled by filling pieces 9, 10 which extend obliquely along the edges of the objects of the stacks with each of the filling pieces provided at each end with a transverse tongue which bears against the upper and lower side, respectively, of the relevant stack. In another embodiment of the invention two separate filling pieces may be manufactured as an identical part integral piece. The filling pieces may be made fromcorrugated cardboard or paper or strawboard and provided with recesses to facilitate removal. The carton is suitable for the retention of a single stack of objects.
