Abstract

1,209,704. Packaging. REED PAPER GROUP Ltd. 28 April, 1969 [16 May, 1968], No. 23432/68. Heading B8C. A pack for fragile articles e.g. electric-bulbs, valves, eggs, fruit, comprises an elongate channel member of cardboard &c. provided with articlesupporting portions 14 and formed into compartments by spaced apart bent-in flaps 13, a separate or integral closure member 7 being glued or stapled to the channel. Weakened lines 16 facilitate removal of one or more compartments 12; and to remove an article, its support 14 can be torn along weakened lines (22), Fig. 3, not shown. The portions 14 may be arcuate or flat and the flaps 13 arcuate or angled. The pack may comprise two or more parallel channels interconnected at the upper edges of the adjacent side walls, (Fig. 6, not shown).
