A transportable endless belt type conveyer elevator has its bottom drum 3 driven by a power unit 7 through a flexible transmission shaft 8 and a worm type gear-box 6 where the output shaft 11 (Fig. 1) of the gear-box 6 and the drum shaft 4 are connected together as one, or are ono and the same shaft 4 (Fig. 5), this shaft is carried by.(Fig. 1) one self aligning bearing 9 or (Fig. 5) two such bearings 14, 15, which bearing or bearings may be adjustable in the plane of one or both of the boom side walls 1, 2 to align the bottom and top drums. One or more flexible torque arms 10 (Figs. 1, 4) or 18 (Fig. 6) is or are provided.
