Abstract
957,114. Endless conveyers. W. E. RAWSON Ltd. March 8, 1963 [Dec. 8, 1961], No. 43956/61. Heading B8A. Fibrous material (not shown) is fed on to the upper span of an endless belt 7 so as to pass under nozzles 14 from which is sprayed bonding or other impregnating agent. The belt then passes over water (or other cleansing fluid) jets 11, scrapers 12, wipers 12a, and driven squeeze rollers 13. Bonding agent and adhering fibres are collected on a filter screen or strainer 10. The belt 7 is subject to a heater 17. The output 9 from the strainer 10 may be in closed circuit with the input to the jets 11. Means may be provided to correct belt wander.
