[Also in Division B8] Adjacent side walls 6, 7 of a pallet, and their associated end posts 4, 5, are secured together by a horizontal plate having the form shown in elevation in Fig. 1 and in bottom plan view in Fig. 2. The plate has pins 2, 3 engaging the tops of the posts, and, in the form illustrated, also has downwardly extending flanges 8, 9 engaging adjacent portions of the side walls. Upwardly extending flanges 11, 12 may serve to locate the pallet above in a stack. Each plate 1 may be held captive to one of its associated walls by a chain 10.
