Abstract

954,665. Box pallets. NOTT'S INDUSTRIES (FROME) Ltd. May 16, 1961 [May 17, 1960], No. 17450/60. Headings B8H and B8P. The sides 3, 4, 5 and 6 of a box pallet are detachably connected to the base 2 by the fitting of the end posts 7 of each side into sockets 11 at the corners of the base and the assembly is held rigid by corner-connecting members 13 fitted at the tops of the posts 7. The sockets 11 are in a bracket 12 attached as shown to the base 2 and the upper corner-connecting members comprise plates carrying like sockets 15, Fig. 3 (not shown), for the upper ends of the posts 7 and with upstanding flanges for locating a further pallet to be stacked above the one shown. The upper half of a side member of the box may be hingedly mounted on the lower half thereof to form a door which may be held closed by hook-like members on the associated endposts.
