Abstract

909,534. Pallets for handling loads. BAMBERGERS PALLETS & CASES Ltd. Oct. 7, 1959 [Oct. 7, 1958], No. 32005/58. Class 78 (4). Upper and lower holes 6, 5 (Fig. 3) in a pallet for receiving the lower and upper ends of tiering posts extend through or into the bearers 2 or other means spacing the upper and lower decks 1, 4. In the wooden pallet shown, the upper and lower holes are in register, the lower hole being tapered and the upper hole being lined with at least part of its length by a sleeve 6. A plate 8 separates the upper and lower holes. A screw, bolt or cam device may be provided for locking the lower ends of the tiering posts. The holes may be formed in intermediate bearers 3, as shown in Fig. 1, further holes being formed in the corner bearers 2 where the pallet is to be reversible.
